RNP Pessoal
2024
Web application built to centralize RNP's administrative processes, replacing manual workflows and making it easier for users to track activities.
About the project
RNP Pessoal is a web application developed to help third-party employees manage their personal information and assist HR with the approval and updating of employee records.
The project was built to replace a manual process that depended on Word documents and direct updates to the company’s Protheus ERP.
The problem
Before RNP Pessoal, updating an employee’s information required HR to send a Word document to the employee. The employee would fill it out and send it back, after which HR would manually update the information in Protheus.
This process could take days, creating unnecessary work for HR and delaying updates to employee records.
The solution
RNP Pessoal allowed employees to access and edit their own information directly through the application. Changes were not sent straight to the ERP; instead, they were submitted to HR for approval.
Once approved, the information was sent to Protheus and the employee’s records were updated in the ERP.
This replaced the back-and-forth exchange of documents with a centralized digital workflow while keeping HR approval as part of the process.
Organizational chart
The application also included a workflow for managers to update the organizational structure when third-party employees joined or left the company.
A tree-based data structure was used to represent the organizational chart, making it possible to visualize the hierarchy and update employee relationships through the application.
My role
I developed the Angular frontend from scratch and was also responsible for the PHP backend gateway that connected the application to the ERP’s backend.
I also handled the deployment of the project on an Apache server running inside a Linux virtual machine.
Implementation
The frontend was built with Angular and PO-UI, a component library used to build the application’s interface. A PHP backend gateway handled communication between the application and the ERP’s own backend, forwarding requests and processing the responses needed to update employee information.
The project was deployed on an Apache server running inside a Linux virtual machine.
